India's only progressive whitewater certification — built for Indian waters, real skills, and honest assessment. From flatwater beginners to Class V experts.
INDIKA (Indian Accreditation for Kayaking) INDIKA is a practical, criteria-based skills assessment and certification programme for whitewater paddlers — designed to give every paddler in India a clear, honest measure of where they stand on the water. Developed by Goodwave Adventures — one of India's most respected names in paddlesport, with over a decade of river education and expedition experience — INDIKA brings structure and credibility to a discipline that has never had a nationally recognised standard. The programme is built in association with IFASR (Indian Federation of Adventure Sports and Racing), the governing body for adventure sports in India and an affiliate of World Obstacle and UIPM (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne) — giving INDIKA its international standing and institutional backing. Five progressive levels. Forty-five assessment criteria. Every level evaluated entirely on water by trained INDIKA assessors. No written exams, no shortcuts — just real paddling on real rivers, assessed honestly against a transparent standard.
The river is the greatest teacher.
It demands resilience, rewards courage,
and never lies about your skill.
INDIKA is built on one belief: real skill is proven on real water. No written exams, no shortcuts — just you, your paddle, and the river. Every level is assessed by trained assessors using transparent, criteria-based evaluation.
Rivers don't care about your comfort zone. Learn to read water, recover from capsizes, and come back stronger every time.
On whitewater, the person behind you matters as much as the person in front. Build the kind of confidence that keeps everyone safe.
Five levels. Forty-five criteria. A clear map from beginner to expert — so you always know exactly where you are and what comes next.
Every criterion is assessed on moving water by a trained evaluator. No shortcuts. No shortcuts. Just honest feedback and earned recognition.
